3255- Waiorongomai to Te Aroha trig

The trip will be from Waiorongamai along the rail track trail where you will be able to see old relics from the mining days. Then up the High level track and onto the Te Aroha link track across a waterfall and through a tunnel. You can get some good views along this track. Then onto the Waipapa track where you will go through some interesting bush on a bit rougher track, and next a left onto Dog Kennel Flat track where you will have great views across the valley and old steps to go. Great place to sit and have lunch. This will take you to the Te Aroha trig. This is an intertwining of tracks making it interesting to see the differences as you go along. Once you reach the trig, it will be quick downhill to the main Te Aroha carpark. This trip will be 6-7 hrs.
