3261 - Te Rereatukahia Hut

The plan is to climb up to the hut from the Wairakau road car park on Saturday morning, claim our bunks then explore the track heading north. We should get past Baldy and may get past Tangitu before turning back to the hut. We will judge turnaround time on our progress and daylight hours available.

Sunday we will head south along the North - South track and may get as far as the Motutapere hut before turning back and down the Tuahu track to our vehicle.

 

This can be considered an overnighter training event if you haven't done an overnight in a hut before.

The hut needs to be booked so I will close bookings as I see the hut booking system fill up.
