3207 - Length of the Hakarimata

Trip 3207- Length of the Haks - 2nd November

We will walk from Parker road to the Perry Quarry. This is about a 7 hour trip for the length of the Hakarimata range.

From Parker road the summit there are plenty of tree roots and the track is a bit rough. It passes through mature native forest of rimu, miro, matai, totara, rata, rewarewa, hangehange and tawa, with occasional views out to the west. From the summit to the Quarry the track is well maintain and you end the track along a river and over a bridge.
