3257 - Neavesville

The Neavesville track, located near Tairua in the Coromandel Forest Park, is a historic 4WD and tramping route known for its gold mining history, including the Kirikiri Mine and battery. The trail often involves a steady, 2-hour climb up a bush-lined forestry road before transitioning into a rougher, steep track to the old stampers, often taking around 5-6 hours total. Historic: The area features remnants of the old Neavesville town, old stamper batteries, and kauri logging sites. Offers glimpses of the Tairua River estuary and remnants of native forest.
