3254 - Te Rereatukahia Hut, Killarney Lakes Loop

Starting on the Tuahu track off Wairakau Rd south of Te Aroha, we follow the track up through the pine forest and as it merges with the native forest we had up a none marked trail that follows a spur all the way up to just south of Te Rereatukahia Hut. After a break there we follow the North South track and head to Motutapere Hut. From here will follow another trail that heads down to the Killarney Lakes and back to our departure point. The trip rates as medium/fit tramp with at least 6 hours walking.
