3259A - Ruapehu Summit Weekend
This is 2-days at Ruapehu hut, from the evening of Friday 18th through to late Sunday afternoon.
Need to have completed snowcraft training (WTC or equivalent) and be confident using crampons and ice axe. Depending on numbers, experience and conditions, we may split into two groups near the Summit Plateau. Those with suitable stiff boots may have the opportunity to climb one or two Ruapehu peaks.
We will depart by 5:30pm Friday evening from the usual Waikato University departure point.

Cost: TBA - will include transport, wtc lodge fees. Saturday dinner yet to be decided, but probably self-catered.
This trip going ahead is highly weather-dependent.
